I was originally referred to this series by my Nook© from another another motorcycle club series. If you are wondering which one, I really couldn't tell you (I'm up to over 550 books on my reader, many of the newest having to do with motorcycle clubs).
My experiences with recommendations is that they are either really positive and I find a new author I can spend a week or two voraciously tearing through their whole catalog, or I end up needing to drink heavily while finishing the book because it is SOOO horrible that it makes me want to lash out violently. I was pleasantly surprised that Ms. Vale's novel fell into the first category.
Although a little short for my tastes (I burned through this book in a day), I liked the fun, fluid nature of the story and the characters with actual personalities *happy sigh*. There is nothing worse than a wimpy heroine and a whiny hero. Baylee, a spunky EMT, and Sebastian (Shiva), the firefightin' VP of a motorcycle club (double yum!), are a fun and entertaining couple. The dialogue was such that I actually found myself laughing out loud at certain parts, and Lani Lynn Vale's use of funny quotes for chapter prefaces is a sure-fire winner (especially since most of them are freakin' hilarious and require me to have a t-shirt made immediately).
All in all...if you are looking for a fun romance novel with motorcycles, men in uniform, humor and hot sex...you can't go wrong with Lights to My Siren.

The Dixie Wardens MC series just gets better and better with Halligan to My Axe and the story of Adeline and Tiago (Kettle).
Although I continued to find myself nearly crying with hysteria at certain points, this second offering in the series was considerably more angst-ridden than the first. Kettle has a downright heartbreaking past that could sink his future and Adeline has unwittingly found herself in the cross-hairs of a very bad man. Will their love triumph? **swoon** lol.
The more you read this series, the more you will fall in love with the tough, tattooed Dixie Wardens and their ever-growing cast of supporting characters. My one complaint would be that there wasn't nearly enough sex in this book, as I didn't have enough opportunities to picture the delicious Kettle nekid (le sigh).
All in all...this is still a fast, fun, sexy romance series with gorgeous guys and strong, smart gals!
